We highly recommend planting with a soil amendment called Bumper Crop Soil Builder. This will loosen compacted soils (including clay), improves drainage, adds aeration, and offers important nutrients to your new plants. You use this product by mixing it 50/50 with your native soil. Also, don’t forget to mulch your new plants! Mulching is the best way to retain moisture (and fight weeds). Hardwood mulch is best.
